My own motherly confessions.

I am a mom, a wife, and a maid. I cook, clean, change diapers, and give baths. I work day and night, my job is never ending. When one mess is clean, there is sure to be another to follow.  The laundry is endless and the floors are never clean. The toys are never put away for more than an hour. The dishes only get done once a day. I watch Barney every day. I like to try to sneak a nap with the baby. I sneak a few extra chips when I get frustrated. I like to watch Desperate Housewives. I used to sneak a taste of the babies food. I learned to play with boy toys. I play with my children in the rain because I like it more than they do. I tell my baby all of my secrets. I sometimes prepare boxed foods and pass them off as homemade. I say I have a headache just to get a few minutes of quiet time. if the laundry doesn’t look dirty, I sometimes pass it as clean and hang it back up. I actually like to play dress up. I also like to play playstation with my children. I sometimes have to choose to buy them something they want over something I need. I sometimes get so furstrated I lock myself in the bathroom and cry. I sometimes cry myself to sleep. But I love every minute of it. I may not get paid big bucks for my duties but I wouldn’t trade my job in for a million dollars. The smiles and laughter of my children are enough for me. As long as I am able to keep them happy, I don’t need anything extra. I am willing to sacrafice anything and everything for them. And to tell you the truth, they are the ones who should be paid. I wake up every morning and feel as though I make a difference. I love my job.
