Cause: Need for agricultural land to feed growing populations, logging for timber and damage to young trees from grazing animals.
Effect: Atmospheric pollution- Deforestation is one of the main causes of the green house effect. Trees and plants collect carbon dioxide from the atmosphere which we breath out, but wen we burnt the wood from the trees, the atmosphere will be polluted with carbon dioxide, and it gets even worse because this happens during the process of photosynthesis (the process of trees giving out oxygen for us to breathe.)
Biodiversity: Deforestation can also destroy animal habitats causing some species to become endangered.
Solution: Try to limit all resource needs from forests. Recycle and use forest products wisely. Do not log.
