Homeless dogs are everywhere, not only in America, but in foreign countries as well. Our soldiers are befriending them overseas and are now taking action to bring their pets home with them. These animals are a God Sent, they are a joy to all, and their love is unconditional.
Dogs – Truly Mans Best Friend
Dogs are amazing animals, loving, forgiving and kind; of course there are those that are mean and vicious, that is probably because of the way they are trained. Most dogs love us unconditionally, and are always so happy to see us.
Some dogs come into the world, where they are wanted, given all the love and attention a puppy could have. They have their mother caring for them, as she should, in a very neutral environment, out of harms way. That of cause is a fairy tale; the only dogs that are cared for in such a manner are the pure breeds. The reason they are so well taken care of is because they are sold, people are breading these animals to sell! Yet there are thousands of mutts, all over the world that are mixed breeds; they may not look as beautiful as a poodle, or as handsome as a Golden Retriever, but when they are well taken care of and loved, they are just as beautiful. In these cases I believe that their beauty comes from within them.
Unfortunately most dogs around the world are born into hostile environments, whether it’s the jungle, the tropics, or the little wooden place down by the stream; the environment is not safe. The mother and her puppies are in danger, and yet there seems nothing we can do about that.
We have shelters all over the county caring for these pets that are usually caged; some shelters when time runs out may put a dog down. This is not fair to any of these animals, and the saddest part is dogs are homeless in foreign countries as well. Our soldiers are befriending these poor animals from the cruelty that surround them in countries all over the world.
To a soldier a dog becomes his best friend, to the dog, the soldier may have become his savior; the hard part is when soldiers are sent home, or to the front lines leaving these dogs behind. Our soldiers are real men and women with hearts and the idea of leaving behind their “best friend” is very upsetting; so what a lot of our soldiers are doing is sending their “best friend” home. Which I believe is just wonderful, since they will have a bond with each other that no one else will ever have. The soldier needs his dog, and the dog needed saving; animals in other countries are not cared for the way we treat our pets, so for both of them it is great for their souls. As a human being, leaving a war zone and not trying my best to get a dog, who by the way has been at my side for 3, 6, maybe 9 months in just insane, and inhuman.
