I do love doujinshi for what it can bring us in terms of possibilities for characters.

I being the type who enjoys jotting down the odd little Fan-Fiction tale based on any kind of anime or manga; I will not! I shall not! And would never bring myself to writing Fan-Fiction based on live-stuff…or comic books…or most cartoons from the American side or anything else that isn’t anime or manga (Not picky just a weird self imposed restriction). Now that’s over it’s time to enact a promise and keep on the article subject at hand and not rant off it.

Doujinshi is basically a step up from Fan-Fiction written on the one and simple item most pieces of written Fan-Fiction lacks are the pure and simple images that add onto the content dramatically in almost every way. The basic thing doujinshi has over Fan-Fiction is that it’s a fan produced manga and so has a lot more to give, but also draws on a limited spectrum of the vast number of ideas drifting about Fan-Fiction. How many fucked up concepts are you going to find in the people who draw doujinshi, against the far vaster sea the people (These people lack the ability to draw) who can write without the fear of being judged when they post it online? On and off I say you’re more likely find fetish material within written Fan-Fiction then Doujinshi….but Doujinshi does have the few people don’t normally think or want to think about some of the most fucked up stuff, the stuff I refer to is Doujinshi related from how more likely you’re going to find Guro. I’ve read one Neon Genesis Evangelion doujinshi and afterwards I really wished I hadn’t read it through, or looking more at the pictures from the little problem of it being in Japanese…..I’m probably better off not knowing actually what is said though. But with a vast ocean of doujinshi to be read the good stuff always outweighs the disturbing stuff (No Guro please)…..except for that prison series, got the whole series on my laptop.

Yuri or Yaoi material based on any anime or manga is good from how you’ll get some romantic stuff that really makes you cry out for it to happen (Konata and Kagami stuff is a good example at how sweet some doujinshi can be in the love department….*Thumbs up*). The sea of doujinshi is vast in such material and more, but not close to the vastness of Fan-Fiction that roams websites in its far vaster and twisted ocean except this ocean must be painted with words. “Paint me a picture with your words!” As to quote Charlie “I liked him before people knew how cool he was” Brooker from his fantastic series Screenwipe. If you want a huge potential for different niche ideas (Fetishes of course) being present Fan-Fiction is the answer, but if you want images to accompany the dialogue (If you consider “Ah”, “Mmm”, “Fu Fu” or “I’m going to…” dialogue) then doujinshi works great if limited in niches it fills.

The best place you can find doujinshi without a problem is a little known place so good and sweet that it’s the Holy Grail of free Hentai. Not just the free that turns out seconds later to be paid for and then it’s somehow considered free, but actually free as the air you breathe instead of the water you drink from shops….but in the words of Irish I adore “I’m going to tell you where it is.” Because somehow it shall ruin it for me….you can try searching but you’ll have a tough time finding it. Or if I’m feeling kind just type whatever manga or anime you like with the word doujin or doujinshi on after it on Google you should find what you want.

Thought of the Day: July 31st:

Keeping track of the passing days got to me, but then I watched “Blade Runner” solely for the lines near the end of “Lost like tears in rain” and “Time….to die” both beautiful in how they were said and used. The book and film are different in what they present in themes but in the end they both stand firmly on their own.
