About how nice the land and people down south are.

I have been to a few places and I really enjoyed the cooking and eating and drinking home made wines and other things of this nature these are the things we have to enjoy in life and stop carrying baggage on our shuolders to stop worrying and thinking negative when you have no idea whats on someones mind you just got to keep your mind on good things and try not to worry about the small stuff this is a current though I always try not to get myself upset with thinking about the paste it does not help you or anyone your near of, so remember this always in the future if you really want to have a good time somewhere do not bring your ways or paste with you. Leave that all behind you its dead weight it would not do you any good to dwell on the paste.

Its sort of like when your playing a video game and your out of quarters its over do not keep trying to start over there is a time to forget about the paste and move on, this is life and we have to enjoy it while its here no matter what anyone says, I do not use profanity but you get my drift what I am saying we all have a paste that we put behind us and that is what you have to do leave it where it was and enjoy where your at do not keep talking and remind people of something because you could wake up a daemon that you never knew existed. I really had fun when going there but coming home and going back to my home town is the hardest thing to do.

Its been a experience and a long drive I hope one day to take that drive again maybe one day soon or later and just have fun with my friends and family or just make new friends and start all over again, remember when  people do not know you they are not fast to judge you unless you bring your old baggage with you.

dmobile it sounds like where I live there are so few places left like that today, sometimes you tend to forget there are still places where people take you into their hearts as well as their homes. Great write dmobile!

You’re right about so many of the points you made here. The past is the past. Carrying around old baggage just makes it harder to live your life in the present.

You’re also right about the South. I’ve passed through the South myself and there’s nothing like good old southern hospitality. People there seem to choose to live a slower, more mellow lifestyle.

Great article. Did you take any pictures?

You just gotta know the south. It is a different planet. Mississippi born and raised!!

    dmobile
This is a great article! I know what you mean about Pittsburgh…it needs the same cautions as Los Angeles. But California has such a hecktic life style..I am finding it so different living in Oregon where everyone is laid back And courteous. It isn’t unusual to hear senior gents reminecening abut the cattle drives. Or for men, any age, to wear western hat and boots, and refer to a woman as “lttle lady”. Kind of nifty!

I see your point. But I would to share another side of view. Now think about the land where you’re from for a moment. The true hospitality experience of your people that embraces you will not find in all of America. You have to get out of this country to really understand the full essence of life and how native people treat you especially if come with true respect in your heart for them. You’ll stay or try your best to stay from going back into the mock you came from. I left Philly years ago and I had lived in the so called ATL for two and half years. The place is just as wicked as Philly it takes a little time to realize it but heck people are the same everywhere in this country. Democratic or Republican Black or White Christian or anything else nothing is different except its more space and that could relieve some of the stress but even the problems still exists. Drugs, crime, ghettos, police to knock you upside your Da** head whatever you name it. Southern hospitality is a crook the people hear have tons of hatred in there hearts and will show and tell you on the spot your nothing but a blank a blank. So please don’t be mesmerized by the pipe dream. They still wave confederate flags and sticker on cars of hatred never to dispel their utopia of system of chattel slavery and free labor. Sure it’s occasional to see people joining and not fighting. People down here parade in the streets like Sodom and Gomorrah being foolish, lude and naked with unadulterated behavior this place is a sis pole and could be whole lot better. It’s time to stop dreaming and stop believing in the fake numbering system of banks making us all of debt slaves. Just look at the news down here and see it’s the same place a lot of I remember the Blacks were hung from trees and then the men were castrated and they ripe pregnant women bellies open. I will never forget it just like the jewish people never will forget what Hitler did to them in the Holocaust. White supremacy still exists down here. White genetic survival. How can you forget the past when the past is still happening to blacks and non-white people you would have to be blind if you couldn’t see that? Terrorist hoax injustice in the so called justice system entertainment, education, economy, etc. I know what your talking about do you understand what I’m talking about because it’s not going to stop until they finish and they are very much far from over destroying everything in their path. Or be the Doctor to treat their hatred sickness by conducting a unified field theory psychiatry is you want. You be around them long enough you will start being hated because the power that black s represent the greatest treat to white genetic survival and its through intercourse and the melanin that we produce annihilate them. We have to be on guard of who we are and that’s men living righteously and raise our families in a conducive environment for rearing a family and not this plantation psychosis of a mad house. And let’s not even talk about what they put in the food your eating then you call it good please you really want to know the trash and garbage your eating just start researching. The health of everybody is jacked up from hybrids pesticides herbicides chemicals straight poison sugar salt fat flour blood over meat to make it look fresh fast food you can’t really trust eating any of because you don’t control the processing of it. Dead food. The water has no filtration system to expiate any tiny particles and pharmaceutical drugs and on top of all that what happens when you flush your toilet exactly bacteria in your house in the pipes going where into an interconnected water system that includes your drinking water. Most people down in the south are fat and obese that’s the truth. How do you handle the truth when you hear it? Chileans and pig feet will send your blood pressure through the roof right along with high cholesterol. Boy what people really need to do is wake up and stop living foul. If you can see there is a better way if try your real best and not any sloppy whatever effort. But that’s too much to ask for these days because most don’t care or are even serious enough to change and make a huge different or impact in their life unless their on the their death bed or paid to perform in a contest. All folly.

I agree 100% with you, thanks for posting!

  • Jan Hoadley on Jan 28, 2009

I agree with much of this. Unfortunately much of the southern hospitality was chased out of where I am but an hour or so north or a half hour west and it’s much more welcoming.

There’s good and bad everywhere – sometimes it’s just hard to find one or the other!!

You forgot to mention that you always ate up all the sandwiches thatI packed when you were in the back of the car. Our Family reunions are wonderful, aren’t they. Good article.

We down here in the south are a different kind of folk! I\’m glad you noticed.
No matter where you go,if you bring your baggage with you, you\’ll be miserable. You can\’t make a fresh start until you let go.Thanks so much for writting this.
