I remember my mum telling me about Hazrat Khider, who always presents himself when called for help…
My hometown is situated at about 600 miles from where we stay, a very beautiful countryside. Every year my family plans out at least one visit there, which gets really exciting with all our cousins and close friends travelling and staying together.
We were on our way back one day, quite late at night, it was probably past midnight, when our vehicle spoilt on the way, Our elders were worried, because this was a rather remote location, but my cousins and I decided to enjoy this wonderful adventure. We thought of camping within the woods nearby. But for this, we had to find a suitable location. A few friends and I decided to explore the place.
We took a flashlight and walked into the woods. Our parents were busy, and didn’t see us going away, and we foolishly thought we would tell them once we’re back. I took the lead, and two friends followed, wow! that place sure was lovely and wild!…
We kept walking, or rather I kept walking looking at the beautiful scenes with my flashlight. I saw an owl, and laughed at it.. Suddenly I heard a loud howl somewhere close, I turned back to look at my friends as they were really quiet, and they WEREN’T there…
I couldn’t help getting worried for them, I shouted out their names, but no answer, I called out for help, I screamed, and screamed louder, but nothing again!
Panic surrounded me, I ran about, shouted, and then my flashlight turned off, battery over! I screamed, and then finding myself helpless, I fell on my knees and wailed. I cried like a baby, “Please Help me, Oh God, please!!”, I cried…
All of a sudden I felt as though someone was lifting me, I gave in helplessly, I didn’t know who it was, or what it was, it was pitch dark now,and I couldn’t see a thing, but it kept walking, and I held on…
Then I saw a light, and I didn’t know how, but the next thing I knew was I was back on my feet and running towards my family, tears pouring out of my eyes, without looking back even once….
And today, whenever I think of it, I thank God I’m safe, I don’t know who that was, whether it was something real or enchanted, but it is something I couldn’t forget till today, and probably never….
