A fire dispatch at Wellsville PA.
Sometimes I am the right place at the right time and that is what happened on a Sunday afternoon. I was in Wellsville, York County, PA when the fire siren started. I was about a block from the fire company so I pulled into the parking lot above the parking lot for it, careful to keep out of the way. By the time I got there and had the camera out one car was there and the truck was pulling in.

I have no idea who he is but this is the driver of the truck heading for the firehouse door.

I hope if he sees this picture he is not offended. He is really booking it as I would hope emergency responders would. The firs person there has already gotten the door open and is readying the engine to go.

Here I caught them pulling the first response truck out of the door.

This light truck is on the road to get a presence wherever it is needed. This will provide the first on the scene, eyes on the scene, and some capability to save lives. Although small this truck is loaded for bear. And the bigger unit is being readied to go.

With a few more people on site the larger unit is pulled out and ready to move when it is staffed.

We see more of it as it emerges.

And finally all of it.
As it turns and pulls out on the road.

And on the way to protect and serve.

Thanks to everyone who serves….
