A good morning to one and all,

So as you would have read in my previous post, today is my first day of action! Its actually quite nerve racking when you finally do it for real!

So I’ve spent the last two hours analysing the markets and I’ve set up my trades for the day (I create a book by laying the whole field and as long as a certain number of horses get matched and my book is over 100% then I’m in profit).

As for the place markets Ive come up with 5 races to punt on and I’ve got one bonus bet. There is one rule that needs to be adhered to and that is you must never bet on anything under 2.0 (evens). We’re looking for value within these markets and to bet on anything under this will, I’m sure put a risk to the profits!

I use level stakes on all my bets and that will be 1 point per bet unless otherwise stated.

So as long as we can get the following horses at a price above 2.0 they are as follows:

1. 1400 @ Wincanton – St Killans Run
2. 1545 @ Carlisle – Its a Classic
3. 1555 @ Lingfield – Victorias Groom
4. 1620 @ Carlisle – Scotts Mill
5. 1650 @ Carlisle – Thievery

The bonus bet is the 1620 @ Carlisle – The Maystone. I will be placing a 0.2 pts bet on this.

So that’s it for today. I shall be watching all the races with baited breath and hope I can turn a profit on day one of Ned the Horse’s place bets! I shall return later with an update, until then, hope you all have a good day!
