Because of the high cost of gasoline today most of us should be reminded about how the United States dealt with it the last time one hit. It has been many years since the 1970s. Most of the young drivers on the road today are lucky not to have been hit with it like a sixteen year old driver was forty years ago. That kind of hassle would never be forgotten.

In his senior year Mike had to drive a real old Dodge half ton pickup. It was all his parents could afford when he had got his drivers license. Mike was able to learn how to drive that old pickup. It didn’t matter to him that it didn’t have power steering. It’s just that in his senior year Mike got into a race on the way to high school. When they had reached some road construction Mike got run off the road. Swerving to avoid a large tractor had made his old Dodge roll up on its side. With some help Mike got is sitting back on four wheels. He was able to limp all the way up to campus.
