The other day in a pick up/ rec league game I was closing in on my 200th recieving yard when it came down to the last play of the game. I play wide out and when the ball was snapped and I took off on a deep slant to the end zone. I broke free of my man and the quarterback hit me with the deep ball. I turned around just intime to see a dog running across the field. I jumped and while in air did a 180 degrre turn and caught the ball, with one hand over the dog slamming my back and free arm into the turf. I made this catch and was headed for a friend’s car when he asked why i made that catch with a puzzelled look. Apparently I’d just made the catch to go up by two touchdowns not for the win. It was an amazing play which I still play over in my mind while trying to haphazzardly type on my computer. It will be a story I will tell me kids some day but for now this will do.
