We went down to Marietta square to see the Halloween displays on a beautiful sunny day last week.

The Halloween displays in the square were fun this year as always. We went down on a cool sunny day last week. It was a very pleasant excursion. Some displays were advertising businesses, some bringing attention to charities and some displays were from the schools in the area.We met some interesting people and all the kids were enjoying the holiday atmosphere to the fullest.Of course, I carried my camera along to snap some pictures.

I especially liked this one. As you can see, it’s in celebration of girls and wiping out breast cancer.

This one is in honor of emergency workers and fire fighters in the community.

I have no idea what the mistletoe market is but I suppose it’s a shop along the square. Marietta has a lot of tourist shops.

Representing the kids participating in sports at Laurel park.

Rain has poured all day today. Lionel is on jury duty this week so I went to the grocery store by myself today. I carried my  umbrella but that didn’t protect my groceries very well when I came out.  I waited awhile but the rain showed no signs of slacking so I made a run for it groceries and all. When I got home I brought my freezer items in but left everything else in the trunk until the rain stops, or at least slows a bit. I had other places I wanted to go today but decided to get off the wet roads. I hope the rain stops by tomorrow.

the displays were lovely, people had taken lots of time over them. When we were on holiday this year they had things like this throughout a pretty little village, it was beautiful.
