Furthering your education is now easier than ever before.

I graduated from high school in 1983 and immediately joined the workforce. After being out of school for twenty years, getting married, and having three children, I finally decided to attend the world of learning at our local community college. After the first week of classes, I thought to myself “what was I thinking?” I am here to tell you it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Not only did I feel better about myself, there was a sense of accomplishment. This is something no one can take from you. It belongs to you and you only.

Colleges now offer classes in several forms such as on campus, hybrid, internet, weekends, nights, and they keep finding ways to accommodate students like you and me. I work full time, attend classes (on campus, internet, hybrid), raise children, and more! I have even found time so serve on the board of a non-profit organization. Going back to school can be done. Stay focused and know there are a world of resources at the college for you. I recommend you get to know those resources and utilize them to help make your dream come true.

I want to commend colleges across the nation for offering so much to us as students and resources for our communities. Colleges are taking education to new levels and making things happen. Join me today in making the seemingly impossible, possible.

Good article. I had the same experience…only I graduated high school in 1963 and started college in 2003.
