My written reaction to working a very part time job, being “on call”, having a lot of days off, and seeking out side work. So if you are hiring…I’m looking.
For four days I have been off. Trust me, I don’t mind it. The first two days were great. I was productive in doing house work, going to the chiropractor, thrift store shopping, went out with my friend and her two little babies, and I got to see the new Harry Potter movie with my room mate. I totally suggest getting needed things done on the first day off. You never know if you will be called into work. If you are lucky enough to get a second day off, you should relax a little and hang out with old friends. The third day is a toss up. I think this is the day when you have big plans to do more productive things, but end up on your lazy bum all day long. The forth day, well, you lucked out on another day off, but you start questioning your employment status. Then the weekend hits and you are bored.
Well, I’m looking for another job. Oh, no, I’m not leaving the one I have. I am itching to do something productive. I considered going to the blood bank this morning, but I forgot to charge my GameBoy and didn’t know if there would be an available outlet for me to plug into. Since I haven’t been there in over a year, they would totally have to do full physical and well, that takes hours. I mean it is not like I have anything to do today, but I wanted to get a good Urbz game going with my Sims. I hate watching the movies there at the blood bank because it is usually something I don’t care to watch and I never can watch the whole thing even if I wanted to. Once I took a cryptogram book in with me and finished the whole thing. Then there are the people in there who either just talk loud for no reason, or just keep talking the whole time there. I try not to make eye contact because I try to use my time wisely there. I consider that my “me” time. Dang why didn’t I charge up my GameBoy?
I considered going to storage today to box up some stuff to take to the antique auction house. This would be a great idea, except I just checked out their schedule for upcoming auctions and they don’t have any. I also thought that I would just take some things and post them on CraigsList or eBay, but I am still on the fence about that one. I could go over to storage to straighten it out, but my unit is not in the climate control section and well it is hot. Not that I mind hot, but I have a lot of stuff in there from when I was selling antiques and I don’t feel like messing with that today. Maybe tomorrow, oh, I don’t know. I need to get stuff out of there so that I can eliminate that monthly bill, hummm. Hold on, where is my GameBoy.
