Preparing today for what may come tomorrow.
Surviving In A Shaky Economy
Times are tough or so they say. When reality hits you actually get a feel of how the community has hit an all time low. Local newspapers tell of closings, bankruptcies, unforeseen tragedies that are affecting individuals on every account.
You used to be able to go to the grocery and buy whatever you wanted and then some. Now you are pinching pennies and just trying to get buy with the skin of your teeth. Luxuries are becoming a thing of the past and the stock markets are getting ready to hit an all time low that now one can imagine. Just hold on tight at get ready because times are going to get even rougher!
What can a person do to prepare for what is to come? How can one even survive the meltdown that is putting a pinch on your budget? Here are a few helpful hints that may help in times of need.
Make a list and check it twice. I am talking about a budget. You need to know what you have coming in verses what is going out. Let’s look at needs an not wants. Get rid of any unneeded item cost that you may be purchasing and focus on what you have to have to survive. Then go one step further and look at what you thought was needs and cut that list down again. What do you really have to have.
For example, after grocery shopping the other day I needed to buy some printer ink and had it in the cart to buy. I saved it back to the last item to see how much I had already spent to make sure I didn’t go over my budget. Sadly I had to put the printer ink back because it would have been over the limit. Even though I needed the ink, I needed the food more. You will be seeing that in the near future you will be picking food over material items because you need that to survive.
Think in terms of what do I need to survive. Food and water, shelter and clothing should get you by. Start buying food items that are on sale and store up canned food and dried beans an rice. Always have a supply of water. Store some up water in gallon jugs and have them on hand in case of emergency.
Prioritize yourself. Now is the time to prepare and provide for yourself and those you love. Tomorrow may be to late.
