I am up and I am doing well:

The sun came up today, I knew that would happen. I wish there was laughter in my eyes.

The wind is blowing today, I knew that would happen. I wish there was a wind of relief for me.

The wind is blowing today, I knew that would happen. I wish there was a wind of exhale for me.

And in the mist of my storm, I think I heard the lord whisper to me.

In the air I thought I saw a spark of light, I think I heard the lord whisper to me.

I am up and I am doing well: He said child your awake you are alive and your able to walk what more do you need?

The morning has come and the day has begun I am up and I am doing well.

I have to keep moving or I shall fall. The sun came up today, Man has failed me again but my god said,

Child you’re up and you’re doing well. I pulled up my chin off my chest; I rub the tears out my eyes.

I comb my hair, I washed my body, I stood in the mirror and I tried to smile.

I am up and I am doing well: It could be worst I could be dead but as I walked out my door.

I said thank you Jesus I am up and I am doing well.
