I remember being relieved that I finally got rid of him. At least I thought I did. This guy by the name of Sonny was a good looking guy that aspired to be not only a model but a singer. He couldn’t sing and he wasn’t tall enough to be a model. Plus he talked way too much in order to ever make it in any business. He was a hard worker and continued to work in convenience stores and malls just to make a living. He made plenty of money but he didn’t like to spend it on anything. His apartment was occupied by only a television and vcr. He didn’t buy any furniture, not even a bed to sleep on. He chose to sleep on the floor with maybe a blow up mattress that seemed to pop every couple of months.

Sonny would drive by my house every night honking the horn for me to come out. I would get annoyed and come out to his car. I would always tell him to stop honking the horn since it is so rude, but somehow I would end up in his car driving over to his empty apartment. This went on for weeks until one day he asked me to come over at night. At the time I didn’t have a car so I needed to ask a friend to take me over to his apartment after we had gone out to dinner. My friend asked me if it was ok to leave and I said yes since I saw that his car was in the parking lot.

Sonny was home but he wasn’t answering the door. I continued to knock and then pound on the door. I called him from my cell phone and there was no answer. I had a key and I tried to unlock the door, but the bolt locked and I couldn’t get in. I continued to call on my cell and then suddenly he answered the phone. He yelled out “What!”

“Why didn’t you answer the door,” I yelled.

“I am busy,” Sonny laughed.

I heard some giggling in the background and I suddenly became outraged. I thought how dare you waste my time asking me to come over to your place especially since I had to find a ride there. I was so angry. I could feel my temperature rising by the minute. All I wanted to do was go home, but after I made a fool out of him.
