Sonny came and answered the door. Another woman that he has spoken of once before was sitting on his bedroom floor as I passed to use the bathroom. When I came out I yelled at him.

“Why the hell didn’t you answer the door?”

Sonny looked at me with confusion and yelled back, “I was busy with my friend.”

The girl stood up adjusting her clothes and was about to leave.

“No, you stay. I am leaving,” I yelled again. “And you are taking me home. You know damn well that I don’t have a car and that I had to get a ride to come over here. You could have called me to let me know you were busy.”

Sonny laughed and said he didn’t plan this and the girl just came over. He had such a grin on his face that I wanted to smack it right off. I pushed him so hard that he fell backwards. I went to grab everything that was mine and put it out on the front steps. The girl he was fooling around with ran out the door as I grabbed for more stuff. She was so terrified I was going to hit her. The funny thing is I didn’t have a problem with her. I was happy I got rid of him. I was just annoyed he didn’t call me before I wasted my time coming over.

Sonny ran after the girl as she charged towards her car. He begged her to stay as she yelled at him that she was afraid of me. I stood by his car waiting for him to take me home. He let the girl drive away as he walked over to his car. He unlocked it and I put all my stuff inside. Then I got in and he asked me not to take my things. He wanted me to stay with him. I looked at him like he was crazy.

I told him to take me home. All the way home he begged me to stay. I came to the realization that this guy didn’t like to be alone and it didn’t matter who it was that was with him. He didn’t think about anyone he hurt along the way. He managed to piss me off so badly that I chose to go home and never see him again.

The next night Sonny called me again and again apologizing for the night before. I didn’t answer the phone and I didn’t bother to go outside when he drove up outside my house honking the horn. I just let him continue and figured the cops could be called on him for all I care. I managed to distance myself from Sonny but I didn’t get rid of him all together. I actually felt sorry for him which is why I continued to talk to him on various occasions. He never saw that girl again and I never stayed at his apartment again.
