My family trip to Lion Country safari and what a totally embarrassing thing I did.
Years ago, while living in florida. my husband , myself, and our three children drove down to Lion Country Safari. A tourist attraction there in florida. Everyone must stay inside their cars and keep the windows and doors closed. As we drove down this long half mile driveway, all the cars were in single file order. There were lions every where, roaming free. They would surround the cars . and they had been known to sometimes jump upon the hood of a car. other lions were just standing along the road, watching curiously. I was afraid one would jump upon the windshield and make his way to us. When we finally got to the end of the road there was parking spaces for the cars. and three or four buildings. my husband parked the car and as we walked up the sidewalk we were busy looking around and taking in all that was around us.
I looked up ahead and there was my husband and two sons walking several yards ahead of myself and my daughter, which was about eight years old. our two sons were eleven and twelve. For a few minutes our attention was drawn to our surroundings, taking our minds away from the rest of our family walking ahead of us. All of a sudden. I looked up ahead and saw my husband and sons going into this building. I called, to my daughter, come on lets run. they are going into this building where some more lions are. We ran as fast as we could to catch up with them. Before we would get lost from each other. We reached the door just as they were inside and the door was closing. As we entered the building my husband screamed out. Get out of here! I said why? He screamed again. Get out of here! My daugher and I started back out the door and my thought was, what Is wrong? I just wanted to see the lions. I read the sign on the door again. It did say lions and still my mind was puzzled, until I glanced at another door near by. It read lioness I felt so embarrassed and dumb. Without paying attention, I had gone into the mens’ restroom. I was thinking, as I started into that building . Oh, this must be where they keep the vicious lions.
