Out of the ten categories listed in the IB learner profile I believe that my personality best fits into the Risk-taker and Principled categories. The categories I am least associated with are Inquirers and Communicators. As for the rest of the categories, I believe I am just about middle of the road.

My greatest weakness is being an inquirer. I do not by any measures love to learn. I have to really motivate myself or be motivated by others to succeed in school. Many times it takes bribery or setting high goals to get me to want to learn. Another one of my weaker attributes is being a communicator. Although I have taken French, Spanish, and Latin at some point in my life, I have not become fluent or anywhere close to fluent in any of the three. I have never been able to pursue a language with passion hopefully that will change in the next four years. I am also not the best at expressing my ideas to others, especially if I am not comfortable around them. I have to think things over in my head before they come out of my mouth.

My most significant strength is being a risk taker. I am never afraid to try something new such as food. Certain things that would frighten many other people are actually exciting to me. This attribute has enabled me to be good at many different things because I am never afraid to try something and often I really like it. Another one of my strengths is being principled. I am a terrible liar so what is the point in trying? I always find that in the end telling the truth and being honest is your best option. I also have a great sense of fairness and when things aren’t fair I usually feel inclined to do something about it. Hopefully in the next four years, I will become more of an inquirer and a communicator and keep my strengths at risk taking and being principled!
