A collection of dreams I have compiled into entertaining short stories without rhyme or reason. This dream is about these twin girls who discover the secret of the Victorian house on Potter’s Way. What happened to the old tenant that suddenly disappeared?
There was a house the Moores owned and rented out over the years next to a church. The lady that rented it for over 5 years had suddenly moved. Mr. Moore posted up the “For Rent” sign a few weeks later after it was cleaned and prepared for showing. No one called. It laid vacant for months and then years. It did not go unused though. It had its share of visitors the Moores knew nothing about.
The church folks next door secretly used its gardens to throw little picnics during the summer and spring. Sometimes a few of them would go through the broken lock on the side porch that faced the church next door and the church folks would use it to hold their more private meetings. The teens in the neighborhood liked to sneak into it to ditch school or runaway from home from time to time. They also used it for a cool hang out. At night a glowing light could be seen from the front of the old, white two story Victorian house everyone just assumed it was the other person. The church folks thought it was the teens, the teens thought it was the church folks, but who was really in the house?
As the first year turned into two, the owner of the property the Moores decided since they were not able to find a renter that they would fix it up and move into it themselves and rent out their 7 year old house instead. So after a few weeks they decided they should visit it and make sure it was kept in working order since they did hire a maid to clean it once a week since the last tenant moved out, Gloria Franklin. Their girls were older now and really liked the old Victorian house since they were little.
So one weekend, Mr. Moore took his two twin daughters, Camile and Cecilia, who were now 16 years old. They grew up going with their father to the old, Victorian House on Potter’s Way since they could remember. They now attended the local high school and were approaching their driving tests in a week. In the dream, I was Camile. Camile had long, black curls that flowed. She was 5′7,brown eyes, with a clear, olive complexion. She was into books, movies, guys, and mysteries of Nancy Drew. Cecilia was 5.7 brown eyes as well and pretty much the polar opposite of Camile. Camile enjoyed sports, going to the beach, going hiking, and nature. She would have joined the Girl Scouts if her father would of let her. But her sister didn’t want to so, she couldn’t.
