We are trying to use wind power to create electricity solar power; I’m no engineer that’s a for sure but we are looking for new and safe way to create electricity. Is it possible to set up water wheels on rivers the flow of the water would turn the wheel and turn the generator and create electricity.The hoover dam is a good example they run water over the top of the dam that creates electricity any way if we had water wheel just down stream from the dam it would still flow and the wheel would get turned by the water going down stream. Of course we wouldn’t use wood to do that what we would probley use would be either a hard plastic or a lite metal  like aluminum or copper coated in plastic or polymer to keep the metal out of the water. Of all the acids and other solvents  ever used water can decay just about any thing over time . And all soluble salts of heavier metals are poisonous to human kind; So we would have to avoid that problem by either coating the metal or use heavy plastics to turn the wheels as the current turn the fins in the water it would turn the bar holding the fins .

They would be attached to the generator and you would have a clean efferent way to create electricity if a wind mill can make electricity so can this well at least in theory any way. You have to wonder if there are other rivers we could dam and use to make electricity other then the hoover dam like the Colorado river. and employ both methods to create the power we need . to power our businesses and homes and maybe later cars too. with our using nuclear power and less coal too . But if the second horse is riding then it won’t matter if we find new way of powering up our stuff we won’t be around long enough to enjoy it any way; With all the turmoil  going on today it’s just a matter of time before all of this ends any way sad but true .
