This time around our friend brings out a little more of her thoughts on peoples consideration for their neighbors.

In our small town it is required to remove your cars from the street when it snows. The members of my family prefer to remove their cars “before” an expected snow…..especially when there are different reports of when it will “start” to snow. I’m not one who wishes to get up at 3 am to move a car because the snow started earlier than expected.
We choose to park on our front lawn for many reasons. My main reason? I like my car close in case of emergency. Considering how far and how inconvenient other parking areas would be……the lawn is most definitely the best choice.
It is apparent (see above picture) that our neighbors do not “see” things as we do. We have over the years had to contend with (blind or stupid?) persons blocking us in, but this in my opinion is one for the books!
Our young neighbor and his girlfriend apparently did not see an issue with blocking us in last night. I can’t imagine they did not see the large blue and red truck or the silver SUV, but…..who knows! It’s not that there were no spaces available in front of their own house. There were strangely numerous spaces (see picture 2 above, plus spaces across the street, far end of their house, up the street a few feet from where they did park), but for reasons known only to them…..they chose to park directly in front of the two vehicles that were sitting on the lawn.
Now….This really got me! So…..I waited until 8:30 something am and knocked on their door. After a few poundings…..Step-dad came to the door and said he would get the keys and move his Stepsons car, but that he didn’t have access to the girlfriends keys. OK…..at least now one of our cars would be available with a little maneuvering.
I’m trying very hard to continue the spirit of Christmas Good Will, but it’s getting more and more difficult when having to face the ignorance (or deliberate inconsideration) of those around us.
With this off my chest, allow me now to wish everyone a Healthy Happy New Year….and……
GOD BLESS US….EVERYONE!
