A Unique Look at todays’ World.

Unless you have been living in a cave for the last three years I am sure you’ve heard about Casey Anthony the young mother accused of killing her two year old little girl Caylee Marie Anthony.Unfortunately the Caylee Anthony murder is not the only heinous crime we have heard of lately,it is rampant and it is happening to our children……What did they do ?
Dog eat dog,in the past that phrase was only used to describe business situations and dealings, wall street types and the like.Today one might use that phrase to describe everyday life. This would bring up the subject of today’s society in general,It sucks !
I enjoy progress and technology as much as anyone and more than some I am sure, but it is getting to the point where I would trade in all my gadgets and conveniences just to have things the way they seemed in my childhood.Tree lined streets where children were safe to play, towns where no one locked their doors at night, parents who didn’t kill their children and neighbors who thought you were family. It wasn’t all perfect all the time but still it was eons away from where we are today as a society.
I’m no bible thumping christian type but I do love the Lord and my fellow man.I go way out of my way to help anyone who ask for it and some who don’t.This sometimes gives me the reputation of being a busy body but that is a whole other story, and for another time.
So what this all boils down to is this……… there are a few changes I would like to see take place.
First of all,Let amour propre be gone.Down with our egotism,self-indulgence,meanness,greed,hate,narrow-mindedness,covetness and mercenary ways. That just might get us started.
Now we can attack giving people space. We have all gone way to far with the allowance of personal space. In this new world I am proposing we would all have our own space, however, when something looked just a tad out of line it would be looked into. For instance,Cindy Anthony tried for 31 days to see her granddaughter.I would have called the police after the third try. When your child is a liar or has mental and or behavioral problems you know it.Have we as grandparents become to lazy to involve ourselves in the day to day lives of our families?
The Roger Rabbit Syndrome is another change I wold like to make……..be gone with it. This syndrome is what I like to call what WE are stricken with,(those of us who have family members or close friends using drugs, alcohol,or who have severe mental illness). If you will think back to the cartoon movie”Who Framed Roger Rabbit” you will remember that while all of us could clearly see that Roger Rabbit’s girl friend Jessica Rabbit was a Lying, cheating, stealing, manipulative, man eater, poor Roger always said………SOMEBODY MADE HER DO IT !!This phrase was his constant mantra…..as he defended Jessica Rabbit. He refused to see reality. He was in denial, just the way we are when someone we love is behaving badly due to all those outside influences.Consider for a moment that we would start rebelling by saying NO that doesn’t make sense or NO that could not have happened.Maybe if we challenged the tall tells these people manufacture then it would be harder for them to get away with keeping law and order at arms length.Yes,maybe a little attitude will keep our anguish at a lower level later on.
Another change is we should stop continuing to indulge these troublesome people by living in denial.Denial does not help us…..or them. There is no wake up and smell the coffee deal here.Waking up time is long over due.The coffee is burned .
Well there is the list of just a few things I would like to change immediately.I think this would be a good start to cleaning up society so that it is safe for our young people who want to do good……and as for the pimps, pushers, drug addicts, sexual deviates and others that desire that sort of life…….let them live and have plenty of personal space…..in Siberia or some place similar.
