You don’t have to be superman or posses a superpower to do something good for the world. What then is good for the world? Well, I already believed Jackie DeShannon from the moment I heard her voice on the background of the movie Forrest Gump. Love is what the world needs now. It is also very true that it should be for everyone. Share love to your wife, your children, neighborhood, to the ice cream vendor or to the newspaper delivery boy, to your dog and with yourself indeed.

If you promote love, everything will follow; caring, joyful giving, understanding and all the positive traits. Love alone can save the world. Simply caring for a flower could be beneficial for a butterfly – a colorful butterfly that brings therapy for a child who is suffering form a disease. This simple love for nature creates a protection in the cycle of life wherein every member has its major importance to complete the cycle. You should also love God. Regardless of what religion and what kind of god you do believe in, religion only teaches us one basic commandment – to be a good person. If you are a good person, you care for others – just like a father who works in excessive hours at the office because he wants his son to pursue his master’s degree or a mother who still scrubs a toilet bowl of her employer’s mansion at two o’clock in the morning. Love for our family will then extend even outside our homes – to help our neighbors, friends and colleagues who are in need or cheer them up when they are down. Of course, in order for you to accomplish this things, you must have yourself! Yes, you need yourself as healthy mentally and physically. In short, you have to love yourself as well.

If you did not do at least one of these things today, you have failed indeed. As you wake up the next morning try to create an imaginary checklist on your mind about what good things you will have to do that day. But do not forget that every thing you will write on that list should be a product of love.
