Damn, I feel so hot, too.
It was a cold Friday night. A heavy rain was stumping hard on the roof. The storm was signal number 2 according to the weather report. Everyone in the house was fast asleep except for John and his wife. John was slouching on their bed watching TV. His wife was busy in her table doing some homework reports. With eyes pressed on her laptop, she barely even noticed she had company in the room.
“Hon, stop doing that…,” he told her. His deep-seated voice seemed too soft and low because of the noise from the outside.
“Remember we have no work tomorrow…,” he teased her with a louder voice. She looked at him with grimace. He knew what that familiar look from her meant. He put a handful of popcorn in his mouth and focused on the screen. It was their favorite romantic movie they used to watch together. There was a love scene. A little while later, he felt like he wanted to do something.
“Hon…,”he called her attention.
No response. Not even a look.
“Honey, I love you…,” he teased her again. This time she looked straight through his eyes and mouthed “I love you, too honey.” He felt like he was going to melt. Every time she does that, she feels the same even after 5 years of being together as a couple.
“Hon, come here already,” he said with a soft voice. But she went back to what she was doing.
“Hon, I feel hot…,” he said with a little clue of seducing his wife.
There was no response. The sound of the crickets and frogs from the outside seemed to dominate the silence of the night. The rain had stopped. But the wind was still cold.
“Hon, I feel so hot. I’m taking off my shirts now,” he told her with a smirk showing off all his teeth. This time she looked at him and slowly stood up. With a little excitement, he took off his undergarments and threw it in front of her. It landed on the floor. She picked it up and smiled back at him.
“Finally…,” he said to himself. She took off her jacket and placed it on the side table together with his undergarments. She reached something at the back of the cabinet.
“Hon, what are you doing?” he inquired though he knew what she was reaching at.
“I thought you feel hot. I’m switching the Aircon on. Damn, I feel so hot, too,” she replied.
