My new business of helping people get organized.
I have found a few things to be true. One, your not going to get anything handed to you (if you do you should question why). And to You should always do something that you love doing. I figured that last one out and ran with it. I decided to open my own business doing organization for those that don’t know where to start and helping them over come the problem.
I have been organizing for 22 years but i just figured out the significance of my doing it as a profession. I LOVE IT! For me there is nothing better then helping people get their lives back. I have learned that there is always a reason that the clutter and disorganization is there, but the first step to getting rid of it, might just be asking for help.
I got a call from a person who was drowning in paper work. They thought that maybe if they had someone that wasn’t attached to the problem that they could get another perspective on how to deal with it. I was thrilled to help. We talked about what had put this person in the position that they were in and it was a long road. Work and family and divorce and dis-pare had put them there. Once I got to the house and saw what had happened I was not surprised that this person felt so over whelmed and in need of help. The whole living room was covered! We talked about what the papers were and what the end result should be. After that we got straight to work. It was a long process but it worked. You could see the living room again. The client was happy at what was accomplished. The fact that this person was starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel was wonderful to me. I found what i wanted to do.
I always knew that i would be helping people, and now this is something that is a great help to people. I think that now people are starting to realize that less is more in some cases and sometimes a little help never hurt. I am always looking for more challenges in this field and my very well for the rest of my life. I have found a job that is not ”WORK”, and i keep it all organized.
