A short travelogue and a list of events that went past me – a journey from Vytilla( Cochin, India) to Aroor( Alapuzha district). An accident which happened through and the changes I am able to view when I pass this well known path again!

I love traffic junctions, just the wait for few seconds but gives us like a ton of thoughts….

Here I am staring at the counter, 16, 15, 14… on my path from Cochin to Aroor, the signal lights are bright and I love the green which gives a relief to my mind, yes the wait is worth it. But here I see a pickup truck straight opposite of me, he seem to be restless, pumping the horn switches hard as if shouting at the biker right in front of him. Scary dreams give me such a look, when you have no where to run and have to face the big truck monster. The biker out of fear or politeness gave away the block and moved sidewards, the clock is still ticking 10, 9, 8… the signal went on for the truck driver, he was like a racer who saw green light, in this time and traffic this is supposed to be criminal offense, but he drove right across but ended up hitting the front bumper of a poor car.

“Bloody Bugger, does he even know how much the repair costs, to hell with his speed!”

my very first reactions, yes, how could the fool know the damage he caused? The trouble he brought about to those poor people in car? To hell with his speed. I felt like going out of car and dragging him right across.

The incident was small as it seems, quite normal on traffic junctions, but I always wonder why they do this when all are educated, well brought up and have enough time to wait 30 seconds stop. The truck driver was arguing right from the moment it hit the car and I couldn’t wait to see the end of it as the horns began scaring me from behind. I couldn’t drive properly after being witness to such a incident. A fear runs through me, why are people getting so restless in life. Why is this hurry?

Moments passed by, as you will view in a ram gopal varma movie, the pictures moved through me, the traffic signal, the truck, the car…

I slowly crossed the junction, and used the indicator lamps to the left and moved to the slow lane. I no longer wanted to be on the speed lane, not today. I just had spent a good amount of rupees recently on repairs. It was a nightmare I wanted to forget, but I was also trying to calm myself down as to I came unhurt on whatever happened. The thought slipped quite easily as it came. I could see the Le meredian hotel on my right side, bright and the pathways were lit. The banners and flags flew high, I could see the Lions club symbol on one of them, it is luxury. People love luxury and here is a building that exploits this desire to the most. My car climbed over the bridge, its much smoother with the new renovations on to the national highway. Great paths, it feels like feather.
