Gideon, a political science student and an active Anduyog member, expresses his views and the party’s goal for the betterment of his fellow students.
“Yes, we dare want to make a difference but we do not wish to be different. Like many of you, some of us in SAMASA are the ones, whom you see partying late at night, drinking and even having academic struggles. We do not pose the Einstein aura or the Miriam Defensor Santiago stance”.
Those were the exact words which, Gideon Peña, running for the position of President of CASE under SAMASA party list, stated at the meeting de avance held at the AQ Rawis Campus yesterday. Gideon, who is a Political Science student and an active Anduyog member, expresses his views and the party list’s goal for the betterment of his co – students. He also brought up some problems encountered by his fellow students and proposed solutions that could help resolve the dilemma. He said that if only the student’s sentiments were expressed and their voices heard, the gap between the students, professors and administration would not be this big. He also said that the blame should not be cast on the students alone, but the other sectors must take half of it as well.
One of the notes – worthy word Gideon delivered which could pronounce him the President of CASE is this: We, as students, actually take a portion of the fault in the big gap. We choose to murmur our sentiments. “Everything can be better if our voices will be heard. And so I go back to our campaign slogan, TAKING YOUR VOICE, ONE STEP FURTHER.”
