I don’t know about you, but electrical equipment is not in the cards for me. This is about the day (last weekend) that my partner wired our house with new gadgets.
After the speakers were mounted off to the 5 channel receiver he zoomed to figure out how to control room by room music. The IPod Touch was in full swing as the tunes began to play. He seemed so amazed by it all, pushing this button and that to see what each ones function was. For me it was nice, but also annoying when you are trying to watch tv with music in the background. One second American music, the next Indian tunes. I took this for awhile and asked him to turn it off in the bedroom cause I felt as if my head would explode from confusion. He complied with hesitation.
Ahhhh…finally no music and my TV. My one and only electronic in the universe I care about, my flat screen 32 inch HD television. Next thing I knew he was asking me to come check out the Apple TV, ok I wasnt impressed, but he was in his glory, next was the air jack to make whatever you like wireless. Crazy gadgets out there I must say. The I pod is the romote for everything, which is another amazment to me. No more 10 remotes, one to control TV, one to control stereo, one to control Wii, wow so many, but now down to all in one. The only trick to this one is the I Pod touch cant leave the house unless no one wants to control all the gadgets it has possession over. I guess that means he will be buying me one of those things shortly…lol. I must say out of all the things he purchased the I Pod touch I give great reviews, it is so simple to use, even me the anti geek can operate it.
It has been a few days now and he is still in his splender with it all. He did send back the Apple air jack cause it did not seem to want to do what it was supposed to, but all the other things have made their home in our home. I guess one day maybe I will figure out how to use the dam stuff, but until then living with a member of the Geek Squad does have its advantages.
