Imagine that you wake up in the morning take a sleepy look outside…and you think that you are still dreaming, because all you can see is snow everywhere! It is not very unusual sight in winter time in many part of the world, but it was more than unusual in London a couple of weeks ago. Most of the Londoners stayed at home on that day as were no buses or trains running in the morning. My boyfriend tried to get to work earlier than me without any success. So he decided to get back to sleep. Of course I woke up as he climbed back to bed and I asked him (on a grumpy tone, before opening my eyes), what is going on? Why are you not going to work? I couldn`t really believe him when he said there is no way to get to his workplace. Not much later we woke up again, my wake up alarm went off. Sleepily I opened the curtains, I could never imagine that I would ever see that much snow in London. I had to give a try to go to work. This time we went together to check the trains and buses again. People were already coming towards us from the train station with a cheeky smile on their faces. Then we knew that we are going to have a nice day off. My boyfriend had our camera with him and took some photos of the snow-covered common, cars, trees and streets. Parks and commons quickly got packed with children who couldn`t get to school and adults too, who wanted to enjoy this rare event. The snow brought the child out from adults, there were snowball fights everywhere. A couple of huge snowmen and giant snowballs remained even for days!

Despite the morning madness everyone were happy to have a day off:)
