Experiences make a man to excel in any field, whatever it is. Yes, I turned into an expert in managing my toddler son successfully during long journey hours in the flight with one or more transits in between.
My journey from Switzerland to India and back from India to Switzerland made me to turn into an expert. First time when I travelled from India to Switzerland, my son was below one year and hence was too young to trouble me. The only thing I required to concentrate at that time of fly was his food. Except that I didn’t have any problems, as he never moved away from me. He slept peacefully most of the time and kept me in ease.

But, my journey from Switzerland to India, nearly after 1.5 year, on the day of my son’s second birthday turned into nightmare. I didn’t carry anything special for my son, except his varieties of food items. I didn’t realize the wisdom my son was about to teach me, till my husband waved bye to me, standing in the visitors lounge at 3.30PM. When I boarded the flight to Dubai, everything seemed to be alright, with my son obeying all my words, as he turned quiet because of the missing feeling of his beloved father. Within few minutes of take off, he started his role.

The first problem started with seat belt. He never liked it throughout the journey. He nagged me to remove it all the time. I tried to calm down him by playing the movie “Madagascar 2” in the in-flight movies player. Though it looked like helping for a while, again his problems started, when a five years old girl, belonging to some European country, in the next row started dancing in the walk path. My son got too much of interest on her dance, and so started dancing on his own style with her. But the girl didn’t feel good with a new little star getting introduced along with her, with little wild movements of dance. Hence she started complaining to her mother. But her mom was so nice and tried to explain her that she should adjust with my son.
