My cat is a female and she was born in May 2002. I got her from an animal hospital, where they adopt kittens out. Before I could take her home she had to be spayed, so she could not have any kittens. When she was a kitten she was really cute. She is mostly gray colored and she has green eyes. She liked to jump on everything, so when she was a kitten, I had to be careful that she did not jump on the kitchen stove when I was cooking anything.  I had knickknack’s in the house and some of them were broken, so I should have kitten-proofed the house. She ran like a streak, she was so fast. She has all of her claws and they were very sharp. She clawed me quite a few times. She is a lot better now about clawing. When I sleep at night she likes to sleep on top of me. I like having her sitting on my lap and lying on me, because she makes me feel really warm and comfortable. I like having my cat close to me. She still likes to play with her cat toys. She goes and sees the vet at the animal hospital where I got her, once a year for check-ups and shots. When I first got her, the vet said not to give her milk, because it would upset her digestive system. She drinks water and eats dry indoor cat food. The vet also said, not to allow her to run outside, because there are so many dangerous situations that a cat could get into. I keep her in the house to keep her safe. My cat is a really nice cat and i am glad that I have her.

     Cats are lots of fun to have. They are such warm and gentle animals, but sometimes they can get very ornery and claw you pretty good. When they get angry they sure like to hiss at you. Cats are such delicate creatures. Cats have different personalities, just like peoples do. Some cats are shy and some cats are outgoing. Each one is unique in it’s own special way.
