A description of a fun filled day with my daughter, we usually fight so much, that we never go anyplace fun; or have anything in common!

My Girl and I

My daughter makes me nuts, and drives a lot of people crazy, on regular basics; but today was absolutely a beautiful day, from beginning to end. We started quite slow, but about 11:00am we got our act together and off to the boardwalk we went.

It has been decided we both want to get fit, and look good, at least that is my goal. My daughter goal is to be healthy, I guess it has to do with things they discuss in school, whatever the case I like her new attitude about healthy anyway.

After being out for about an hour, which felt like a bit more with the heat and sun; but none the less, we walked and talked; it was a pleasant morning walk. From there we head to the library to get a few new books while returning last weeks pile of books. I am so glad my daughter loves to read, it opens her mind to an entire kingdom of stories.

At home we ate lunch and relaxed, there was no shouting no yelling, just the two of us going on with our day. She did her reading and practiced working on a laptop, since this week for summer break she starts to work with me.

The dishwasher emptied, no problem at all the yard cleaned up as well. I can’t believe the day has been, absolutely, positively, sincerely a full fun day with my girl. Trust me there are not many days that I can say that, and truly mean it. We seem to argue over peanuts.

Peanuts could be a relevant issue. LOL. I, too, have a daughter who should have been wearing that shirt. Sometimes I believe the only way SHE survived her teen years was my seriously profound insight that became a mantra I chanted in times of stress, “If I kill her now, I will never have grandchildren.”

Gotta admit tho, the good days were wonderful. Congrats on yous.
