It’s been a long time coming but I finally uploaded my manuscript to Kindle!
I just uploaded my first manuscript to Kindle Publishing and let me tell you, it has been a long time coming! I wrote several vampire fiction short stories about 18 years ago. It was the only way that I could handle my parents passing on within seven months of each other. I had to wait for technology to catch up with me in order to do anything with them though. Publishers want a lot of money to publish a book and I just never had that much. I did, however, manage to scrape up the $400 for professional editing.
Enter on the scene, Kindle Publishing through Amazon.com! Well now, I thought, isn’t this neat! But I still had to screw up the courage to actually submit to them. If it hadn’t been for the encouragement of my children and all of my friends at Triond, I would probably still be sitting here wishing I could do this. Well, it’s done now and I have to wait 24 hours for the Kindle people to make sure that the formatting and all that jazz are correct for the Kindle owners to be able to read it. That’s ok, I don’t mind the wait. If they want me to make it longer that’s ok too because I still have a few rabbits left in the hat.
My friends at Triond are invaluable in their encouragement and emotional support in this. I love them and thank them very very much. In my view, getting professionally published is the next step up the ladder that writers at Triond should strive for.
