We were thrill seekers not satisfied with the kiddy rides where a ghost jumps out and says boo.

I was 8 years old and my friend C.J. and I where hanging out at his house. The nest day was Halloween and we where going to the haunted castle of Muskogee. We wanted to be scared, and that’s just what we got.

I was a zombie with my face painted and C.J. was a skeleton with a bleeding mask. We took the 2 hour drive from his house to the haunted castle around six o’clock. We got there after dark and saw a sign that told us about the scariness rating of the events. One meant that it was a kiddy ride. Was a fairly scary experience, three skulls was for teenagers like me now; pretty darn scary, and four skulls was a terrifying haunted event that mainly adults went on. We did most of the things there, haunted hay rides, mazes in total darkness, and optical illusion rooms that make you think you’re upside-down. It was lots of fun. I learned how to throw a kunai, a small heavy steel throwing knife used by real ninjas thousands of years ago. While there I ate the best funnel cakes I’ve ever had.

A little bit before we were going to leave we saw a sign for the trail of blood. On the sign was silhouette picture of a man in a noose, and beside that there was On the entrance sign it didn’t even mention 5 skulled rides. We got on a hay ride and rode out of the castle ground for 20 minutes. About half way there a man in a black mask jumped on the hay ride and pulled a young man off the trail. Everyone looked back as the tractor continued its steady speed. There were several screams and then silence. I could see some people were wondering if that was part of the ride. It looked real. If it was an act they were pretty good. Me and C.J. weren’t really thinking about how scary that was we were wondering how they did it. Long after we could see the lights from the castle the tractor stops at an old farm house. The driver got of and came back to the trailer. He asked us if anyone wanted to turn back. Out of nowhere another masked assassin slit the throat of the driver and said “too late now huh?” and he ran. I figured out that the assassin has smeared blood on the driver when I came up from behind, then motioned a knife over his neck.
