From desk to kitchen.
I learned how to cook when I was 29 years old. It was because I got married and started living far away from my own mother. My short life story about my journey from Asia to Europe, was published through Triond as well.
When I was a little girl, I rarely spent my time in the kitchen to help my mother. Maybe she knew that I was not interested in cooking and I only liked to eat
that’s why she didn’t ask for my help either. Or maybe if she asked for my help, it would take her too long to finish her cooking.
Now, I have to cook almost everyday. I don’t like to cook, but I have to. Some people don’t tell about their recipes. But today, I would like to share a secret recipe that I use everyday when I cook. So, what is my secret recipe then? The answer is: I don’t have any secret recipes because I cook basically only with meat, vegetables, a little bit of salt, pepper, and one or two Maggie blocks. Sometimes, I do get help from Knorr. That’s it.
I am not like any other wife and mother who browse around sites to find recipes. It is just not my style. I know I am a lucky woman because my husband never complained about my cooking ever since we got married. He knows I was a career woman who never spend a minute in the kitchen but now since I am living in here, I have to cook almost everyday. It was a huge step for me. He always supports me. He never complains about what I cook. Maybe because of that, cooking is not much of a heavy duty.
Do you share any recipes with your friends or other family members?
