This is an outline of my journey since I joined Triond.
I joined Triond in 2008 with a view to make some money online, I Thought I could hit the ball out of the park and make loads of money but after a couple of days of joining I realised that this just was not going to happen without some really serious hard work. I submitted a couple of articles, only to receive a very small number of views and naturally I was pretty disappointed, so after a couple of weeks I kind of gave up with the whole Triond thing and moved on to continuing my pursuit of gaining more freelance work. I managed to get some contracts so I thought Triond was pointless. However recently I realised how great Triond was after joining a couple of other sites, I began to actively submit and promote my content and low and behold things are looking up. I hit my first 500 views on one article, and now I am not looking back. I discovered that promoting my content on networking sites that correspond with the topic has been very effective. For example, my article on getting rid of stretch marks after pregnancy, I have promoted it on Babycenter.com and almost 80 percent of the views have come from that site. I realised facebook was pretty pointless for promoting because people really click through unless you have active followers on facebook who are fans of your work already.
What seems to be working for me may not work for everybody else but I am finding that it is pointless posting up links on hundreds of websites, its better to use two or three specialised ones, set up a blog that you can post all your content on and build a line of subscribers to your blog and eventually you will start seeing results. I have not put in that much work as I have been pretty busy with other things recently but I put in a few hours and I am already seeing results so I am just imagining what a few more hours of hard work will produce for me. I am now excited about my future with Triond and I think, I will not only make a good amount of money but I will also improve my writing skills, gain more exposure and meet some new and interesting people all at the same time, I don’t really have much to lose.
