A few hours spent in the downtown area.
When I got to Toronto at 3 in the morning I thought I could doze off at the terminal but that was my mistake, the doors were closed. I said to myself hat this is going to be like staying outside my apartment when I was without my keys but that was during the summer and I was able to take a park bench. Here I had to look for an all night place that would be open, I wasn’t going to take a bed and breakfast for a few hours until the set opened.
Now walking around the downtown core was not my cup of tea especially after hearing about a knifing at the same metro stop, the bus would stop. I would just gather my senses and go do that donut place made famous because of the ingredients and better tasting coffee only I didn’t want to meet any unsavory characters there either.
But It wasn’t too bad, there was a studier like myself and a few late night strollers who probably came in from late night clubbing. I would take out my laptop and write, a little self-conscious having a novel tool for all too see, late at night but the place looked secure enough. and I even had a chance t read some history on philosophy.
Soon I would be trekking westward along King St. to the studio for a day shot playing an Italian futurist and looking like a idiot but it was part of the deal. If I wanted to get somewhere in the acting world, I would have to take risks like this to avoid unnecessary expenses and traveling to and from hotels wasting time.
