A diary of my time inside.

The shouting continued late into the night but around midnight it settled down and we settled down to talk. Ms. Tattoo, we know knew as Caz, told us she was in for GBH, (Greivious bodily harm) evidently someone called Jules had come between her and Donna, her on the outside girlfriend and Caz, had gone round to her place with a baseball bat. “The bitch spent three weeks in Hospital and I got 6 months.”

“Was it worth it?” June asked.

“Well worth it.” Caz said. “She’ll not mess with any of my birds again.”

Ms. Anorexic, Rashelle, joins in the conversation. “In for shop lifting this time, Fraud last two times.”

June excused herself and goes into the small toilet cubicle. When she comes out she throws a plastic bag of Marijuana onto Rashelles’ bed.  “Supplying, simple as that. Anyone got some papers and a light?”

“Fucking hell,” Exclaimed Caz as she grabbed her tobacco tin “Talk about never judging a book by its fucking cover.” She hugged June and then kissed her on the cheek “Sweet one posh bird, well sweet.”

For a while all went quiet as the windows were opened, and a spliff was rolled and fired up. After we’d all taken a pull it was my turn to come clean.

“So, come on, don’t be shy.” Rashelle said. “What you in for?”

“Nothing much,” I said, the drug had taken effect and I was feeling mellow, “Murder,” I said, “I murdered my old man.”

Rachelle threw her arms into the air, “Yes!!!! Go on; spill the beans, how, what, where, when and why?”

“It’s a long story and I’m very tired.” I said, honestly. “Perhaps tomorrow would be a better time.”

Just then a small hatch in the door opened and an officer said. “What you ladies up to?”

“Nothin’ Miss,” Caz answered, “Just getting to know the new birds.”

“That’s some getting know.” The officer said as she closed the hatch.

“Fucking good job the night Kanga’s don’t have keys.”
