The best Christmas ever with family and a new country home.
It was the best Christmas ever! There were gifts under the tree and smells of fresh baked goods, best of all is the new home that surrounded all these sights and sounds.
I had almost forgotten how wonderful country living could be! I had lived in a small town for the last eighteen years till we found this wonderful old farm home here in the country. I was born and raised in the country but never thought I would get a chance to move back. Then lo and behold this wonderful home went on the market at a price we could afford. “God really does take us back to where we belong”!
My family and I moved in two weeks before Christmas, it was hectic but a nice kind of hectic! The piece and quiet is wonderful! All the beauty that surrounds us was well worth all the madness of the move around the Holiday. Though it was a quick move we managed to get our tree up three days before Christmas. There wasn’t much time to decorate outside so that just didn’t happen this year but Santa found us anyway and the children had a ball.
I looked out my window Christmas morning and there stood a beautiful deer right there in my back yard as proud as could be, what made it even more beautiful is the light dusting of snow we had gotten during the night that now covered the ground. Things looked so clean and white, as the deer slowly walked off into the field I thought to myself “now this is living” and I wouldn’t trade my life for anyone or any things else in the world.
My family and I are finally home!
