Is our party location a little different than most? Maybe, but it seems to work just fine for our neck of the woods.

Commercial party locations in my city are very limited, actually they are non-existent. I do not actually live in a city, I live out in the woods outside of the Village of Reeves in the State of Louisiana. Yes Reeves is actually a village because a village is classified as such if it has 1000 inhabitants or less. The Village of Reeves, LA only has about 200  people who live in it, so it is definitely a village. Do we actually party here, of course, but it is a little different than most would think or even believe.

Going partying in our neck of the woods is not something that people dress up to do, actually it is recommended that partiers not dress real nice, because more than likely some mud riding, either in big jacked up 4×4s or 4-wheelers will take place before the night is over. Our party locations can vary, like most anywhere, from the bonfire in the backyard to the camp on Barnes’ Creek to the ATV park that is just down the road. Some nights it includes all three locations.

Advertising for these party places is done differently also. You will not find an ad anywhere, so the location travels word-of-mouth as to where everyone is meeting up, what activities will be happening and what is being cooked. Then the the rubber boots are put on, coolers are loaded, the mud riding vehicles are gassed up and the partying begins.

Is our party locations a little different than most? Maybe, but it seems to work just fine for our neck of the woods. Plus, here in the woods when we party, everyone knows your name, heck they also know your parents name, your grandparents name, your aunts and uncles, actually they probably know more than you would like them to.
