These are the things I did that helped my daughter still have her favorite stuffed animal.

One thing I noticed through the years and still now is how children drag everything around.

Every time we would leave the house we would leave all our daughter was not allowed to take anything with her.

When she was a baby I used to carry a large diaper bag the had a few thing for her to do if we had appoints to go to or if (which happened often) the car would broke down. Of course, I carried many diapers and would carry either some can formula or the powdered to mix when needed.

As she got older for those times I carried coloring books and crayons. I couldn’t always be sure that where we were going would have someting for kids to do.

By not letting her take things with her not only did they not get very dirty (how many washing can a stuffed animal take) and torn to pieces. We never had that problem opf finding the replacement, if that was at all posible. There were some things that she got that could not be replaced, like the teddy bear that Grandpa brought from Alaska.

When she was old enough to understand what not to do with it, she was allowed to take it to certain places.

She still has a large stuffed bear that she won at a resturant over 15 years ago. She still likes the bear and is glad that it is still in good shape.

The bear from Grandpa was taken away because she was wearing it out holding it upside down. She is also glad to still have that special gift from him, especially since he has since died.
