After years of driving old cars (86 sunfire, 93 Ford Tempo, 91 Accord, 98 Maxima), about five months ago, I bought the newest and nicest car I could afford with my hard earned money. A 2004 Acura TL! Gold in color, well dessert mist as they would call it. Now I’m styling!! I noticed EVERYBODY kept the original mags and since nobody on the road as this dessert mist color, I decided to get myself some nice polished metal mags with a hint of black on them to match to black trim on my car. If I was styling before, look at me now!! I still wasn’t satistied, the clear windows was killing the look so I had my windows tinted 20% all around. Ok NOW I’m styling, well up until 4 days ago.

Before putting on the mags, I got a speeding ticket.No biggy really  because I got caught in a speed trap going an unbelievable 35mph in a 20mph zone! But little did I know that would be the beginning of my streak of bad luck. After the mags but before the tints, there was a HUGE accident so I took a detour to get home from work. This detour takes me on an highway with the highest speed limit I’ve seen here in Canada (60mph). I was driving behind a pickup truck and they tagged me going 80mph. Ok see I was a little puzzled because If I’m driving behind a car, unless I’m stupid, that means he’s going the same speed or faster ? Yes I know i could be going faster but I wasn’t because I wasn’t about to overtake him. But back to my story. The police who had parked in patrol car and was standing on the side, walked right in front of traffic and block all the lanes so he can pull me over!!

Now the real story begins, I tinted my windows about 2 weeks ago right so again, another accident so since I learn from my mistakes, I take a different detour where the speed limit is lower (45 mph). Believe it or not though, SAME SCENARIO as before, me behind a car in far left lane and cop in far right now. This man, stop traffic and asked me to cut over to the far left lane so he could give me a speeding ticket for going ….  40mph!! That’s right, 40!!!! So I roll down my windows before him could reaches to car to be polite and start looking for registration. While looking, I said to him ‘Isn’t this a 45 zone?? He said ‘NO!! licence and registration’. Side note, I checked later and 80% of that road is 45 and the rest is 30mph. So yeah, I think he got annoyed from me taking so long to find it so he said, roll up your windows half way!! At this point i’m like do what now?? This guy really made me roll them up so that he can check and while putting his hand there to , he giggled, left and came back with my ticket and 48 hours notice to have my windows officially checked if not it’s a 400$ ticket in the mail.
