You may plan, but is it done?
What are you’re goals? What are your tasks for the week? The month? What about for the year? Have you even started, or are they still just thoughts stuck in your head? Perhaps they even made it into your journal, so now they’re just thoughts on paper.
If this is you, what’s the hold up? Why the procrastination? Are you still “planning”? Deciding?
People certainly know how to plan the hell out of something, don’t we? We plan and plan but somehow we forget to actually do along the way. Well, the time has come to release the parking brake and just go!
As brought out in the previous blog “Make a list – Check it twice”, you made your lists, you may have even added a due dated to each of them. Whatever the case, pick one task an handle it. Today! Not tomorrow, next week, or when your life slows down. Do it now.
For me, my task this week is to create a sample for my new business venture. I have some of the materials, but not all, so I’ll pick up the rest of them when the store opens lol. That’s my goal for today. Other goals are to complete the laundry, and make cookies…from scratch. I’ve been wanting to do these things since the weekend. And before I imitate Miss Scarlett O’hara’s famous words “I’ll think about that tomorrow”, I’m going to take control, and think about it today. Then I’ll take care of it today. And ultimately finish it today. Because I know that tomorrow has something else in store for me.
