I was walking down the slope, trying to have a grip on my shoes. The rain and the slush on the muddy road were making it difficult for me to walk properly without getting slipped up. The rain was getting worse every single minute and the cold had started creeping through my woolens.

I had convinced myself of a few more steps and a few more minutes of walking to reach where I had wanted to reach! I also knew in the secret crevices of my mind that it shall take more than a few more minutes of my slow toiling walk than I was telling myself to reach where I had wanted to reach now! The weather obviously was making things worse for me to plough through!

My thermos full of coffee was tempting me to stop under some shelter so that I could take a mouthful of the hot liquid to make my insides warm and thereby my body shall move a bit further on! I had stopped under an old and ruined building, which was looking unoccupied for ages. I had unscrewed the flask cover and was about to pour it in the cup, when I saw the woman with her young child were standing at a far corner of the building; both were silent and were literally shivering due to the cold and due to the lack of proper warm clothing! I had to take a decision of “me or them” that needed more warmth instantly and I took the decision favoring them!

I had stretched out my hand and had offered the flash to the child; the child had looked at her mother, who was being hesitant in accepting my offer, though her mouth had started chattering by now. I had wanted to reassure them of my good intentions and had gulped a mouthful of the inviting smell and that of the hot coffee and had offered the flask once again to them. This was just to show the mother that there was nothing mixed in the coffee except the coffee itself. With such an amazing gratefulness in her eyes, the woman had accepted the offer and had filled in the cup with coffee for her child first and then had gulped down the rest of the liquid herself the next.

Somehow, I had felt a warm feeling inside of me and had felt a glow on my face: I just had walked out of the shelter in the pouring rain and in the cold and this time with the renowned confidence of reaching my place well in time for dinner! Somehow, it was not feeling hard anymore walking on the watery road and under the harsh climate! I heard the woman calling out to me saying something, but I just didn’t stop walking!

I had smiled to myself. May be, God had made use of me to take care of the mother and the child, much in the same way, I am sure, He must have made use of the others to take care of me at times!

This is just to show my Regards to Him!
