I love robotics

i don’t know about you, but, i really love robotics!

years ago, when 2 friends and i were starting a software company, i made them promise that we would do a robitics and intelligence facillity for R&D (research and developmet.

there’s just something about A.I. (artificial intelligence) that i really, really like. my dream AND goal, was to go above and beyond the movie stereotypes as portrayed in, bicentennial man, blade runner and A.I. (but of course to keep in play, Asimov’s 3 laws of robotics).

and from  human point, i can understand the Matrix – the whole computer preserving the human element because we’re so destructive in our ways…

has anyone else ever noticed that, we have cars that can talk to you, tell you where to go and park themselves, but yet, we haven’t been back to the moon or explored any other planet in our solar system? such great technology we have, yet, nobody has the will to go out in our galaxy. we have cars that open doors on their own with the push of a button, yet, we can’t find any kind of life outside of our own little blue marble. it sickens me, we just keep killing ourselves and as an honest gun nut that i am, i would be willing to lay down my firearms just to be able to go out and say ‘hi’ to another planet…

does nobody else want to thrive and to go out and about in the universe? i don’t know about you, but, i want star trek to be a reality. i WANT to go and explore other worlds and explore other would-be civilizations, whether they’re for evil or for good (no offense, but, there needs to be conflict in our lives in order to better ourselves individually and as a whole).
