I know I am going to get a lot of people leaving me angry messages but this is MY opinion due to my life experiences on the online life/game on the internet and it doesn’t have to be your opinion.

Just in case no-one hasn’t heard of second life. It’s an online life where they spend money, and I mean real money which is the only real thing on second life, for eg on clothes for their cyber self that they have created online and paid for with again REAL money. They create, buy and sell fake business for their cyber selves as an eg of the many things they do.

In my opinion people either have too much time on their hands and to much money. I know I shouldn’t judge on something I have never played but please! Damned if I am going to play a game that I have to pay for to create a second life that is fake.

A few weeks ago I saw on a television program a husband and wife who bought a Second Life each. They even go on their separate computers in the same room and have sex on the second life……..on their separate computers which they pay for. Hello! Does anyone else bar me see this as silly? My advice is save your money, buy some REAL sexy clothes, turn off the computer and go to your real bed. Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge!!

If you’re turning to an online life it says something about your real life. Change your real life to maybe, I don’t know the life you have chosen on second life and enjoy it! If that’s to choose to have your tooshie really spanked by your real wife hey whatever works for you. I think if she’s spanking your tooshie in cyber land she would do it in real life too I mean I don’t know just go ask her she’s right next to you and no I don’t mean ask her on IM either.

Every now and then I still hear more and more ridiculous stories with Second Life like just an hour ago I heard a woman who paid her way into law school by selling her cyber self as a hooker and these cyber men would pay her with their real money to basically do the bouncy bounce with a cartoon, a cartoon people!

For the love of Pete…

Dump Second Life and start at a second chance in real life it costs less, it hurts more but that’s part of the journey of real life.

I totaly agree with your article; it makes a lot of sense to me and hopely, mature adults. With so much suffering in the world, people needing money for food, homelessness, paying for a cyber life does not make any sense at all. Very well written and it was a joy reading it.

I have never heard of Second Life before but, from what you have explained, I have to agree with you. I find it hard to understand how grown adults can spend their time and money playing silly make believe games like this. They must have too much money and not enough real life.

    I think it’s a shame.

Let’s try this again my new dial up likes to play up on me and I have to disconnect and connect again and the message is gone that I left you.

    Dear Darlene,
I couldn’t agree with you more hon I can’t believe people spend real money to get a life on the internet when the money could be spent on real life. Thanks for stopping in on my article.
    Love Shelley.
