What goes on in someone’s mind when they are bored.
Sitting in math class one day helped me realize that I love using the bathroom and I love sleeping. It is amazing how much a person thinks when you’re bored. Everything rushed through your mind- your worries become more prominent, your tasks all of a sudden seem so much larger and more time consuming. Or the other thoughts are the good things that just happened in your life like a new person that has entered your life and makes your feel whole in so many ways or that last A+ you got in a class that you thought you would be bad at. It’s like there is a standstill in your life but the world keeps going.
The fear of being stuck in the world that keeps moving encompassed my mind and everything goes blank. Desires of just living in the moments are exhilarating. Those moments are what make me want to live till I’m eighty years old so that I could look forward to more moments like this.
Another thing that happens when your stuck in the world, bored out of your mind, your sensations on your body become stronger and you can feel anything from a strand of hair on your face to needing to take a big crap because you woke up five minutes before your nine am class and the last thing you did at 11pm the night before was have a big meal. So then you snap out of this boredom problem in the middle of this nine am math class and nothing is happening. It makes me just want to yell or scream in the middle of the class so that SOMETHING can happen.
Then you stop and think there is a reputation to uphold and if you start yelling in class people will start to pass you by in the halls saying “That’s the girl who screams in class all the time”. Eventually life goes on and you’re screaming urges stop and class is over and you just think “Why can’t I just live in the moments?”
Days just go by and by and most of the time we can’t recall what happened in those days that seem to slip away so easily. When your laying down on your bed the last few moments before you drift away to sleep and you ask yourself ” was this day productive in anyway?” or ” Did I make a difference today?” Those are questions that ache in the back of our head everyday. Imagine if remembering everyday of your life as if it was yesterday, and not just funny events, or sad times but everything down to how many times you smiled that day or how many times you used the bathroom. Imagine if that were possible. There negative and positive aspects to that concept. Negative is that you would remember things even if you just wanted to forget them.
Or you can remember any pain and suffering you had in the past. Positive aspects of this idea are that you would never take advantage of life again. You would see your mistakes of the past more clearly and try to correct yourself. Live in the moments of life, and you will see that your life becomes so much more valuable to you, and will smile more, and everything you want to be will unfold onto you.
