Goal setting and its way to achieve it.

Everyone feels the need to improve himself/herself. Words alone cannot bring about transformation. Words only convey information. It is the practical application or use of that information that will bring about change.

If I desire to improve myself in any way at all, I must first recognise the need for improvement. For example, if a person thinks that he wants to give up smoking and the deep desire to stop, then that is half the battle already won. He must seek out a suitable method and apply himself to it wholeheartedly. Victory comes automatically. On the other hand, however, if there is only the feeling that he should stop, but not that firm aim, then no matter how many methods he adopt, success will be nothing more than an illusion, and so to kick the habit seems an impossible task.

So firstly, I establish my aim, and then maintain effort along those lines. I recognise the need, and automatically the ways and means will make themselves available to me.
