Center stage, Cast, Music arrangements with the color, dazzle of the lights, and action of the opening number at Lily Langtry Dinner Theater and Showplace in Valley Forge/King Of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
It was a day of enlightenment and intrigue. The show was Jukebox Jubilee. It was music from the 1960’s with ice skating. It was now for audience participation, and one of the female performers came down off the stage, and set on my lap. Then she stated I was fresh, and asked for me to be her baby. No, I wasn’t going to be her beau, but a baby in a diaper with a bottle and bib. One thing that I did make clear, please don’t try to burp me. The show was fun. The actress stated, “It wasn’t what you thought it would be, however, she didn’t know what I was thinking”. I decided this baby is going to get down, shake and roll. I did just that to the delight of the audience. It was well received along with a good laugh, and it gave me a chance to expel my talent. I even had knives thrown at me, but not for cutting my meat, but from a magician. He assured me to watch out for the knives, and I assured him to watch out for the one who holds the insurance, and the number to a good lawyer. I lived to tell about it, however, there might be some scratches that I didn’t have when I entered the show. Nevertheless, a well done performance. Also in another show at the same theater, I played an Egyptian King with dancing girls while I was singing on key with the flavor and clothing to match. My ultimate adventure with my short walk of fame for the moment. As the curtain comes down for the finale, and lights have come back on, it’s time for a reality check that show business is in my blood. Your question being, would I do it again, of course, I would as talent can be found anywhere in short notice, take it from me. Perhaps in the future, I will not have to buy a ticket, as you the reader will have to buy a ticket too see me perform. Alright talent scouts, I am waiting for your call.
